This chart has several unusual aspects, all set within this familiar format. The theme is stated by the trumpets, then, the saxes take a one-chorus interlude on a pentatonic figure. The first. and ONLY. soloist on the audio track is the tenor sax. BUT, the chart is designed to have the alto, tenor, bari, and finally All THREE saxes blowing their blues away at once. A similar treatment follows with the trumpets. Three blues choruses from the piano give the horns a break, and a SampleSolo is included for this instrument ONLY, due to the nature of the group improv that is structured into the piece.
