As the collection was edited, it became clear that, as a teacher's aid, it was invaluable, but it also leant itself to the repertoire of the guitar virtuouso duet team. The pieces are vigorous at tempo, presenting one challenge after another. Commonsensically arranged for 2 guitars, each piece is thoughtfully mapped out, leaving the entire piece intact, whereby each guitarist shares a heavy technical burden. In other words, there is little rest for the weary here. Fully fingered and marked, all guitarists will find this an invaluable source of learning, technique, and the ability to play in an ensemble environment.
