This is an adaptation for string quartet of one of six choral songs the composer wrote while holidaying in Southern Germany. The original version was for harmonium and 4 part chorus. Elgar later orchestrated 3 of them under the title '3 Bavarian Dances'. This is the complete set of parts for String Quartet, arranged by Carlo Martelli.
