In 1994 composer (Sir) Elton John and scriptwriter Tim Rice worked together for the first time on the soundtrack for Walt Disney's cartoon 'The Lion King' which was turned into a very successful Broadway musical in 1997. Both artists joined forces again and this resulted in their new musical 'Aida', based on the classical love story of the Egyptian warrior Ramades, loved by two women. Ton van Grevenbroek arranged the finest tunes for symphonic band.
